One donor's story: Stephen Klick
Stephen Klick was a caring, hard working, dependable, old school, athletic, a friend, Grandpa, Dad, and Serviceman to his country. He enjoyed conversations and banter at a coffee table, a restaurant, car ride or golf course. His affection for his grandchildren and a good story or joke are missed immensely.
Family, Freedom, and Prosperity were pillars for Steve. He respected people who were respectful and grateful. His commitment to sobriety was one of his greatest accomplishments, spanning 33+ years.
Our father became a donor, like most, on the heels of a bittersweet day. He was unexpectedly called home on July 13th, 2024 at 67 years old. He had both indicated on his drivers license and his last wishes in a will, the desire to donate. It gave our family comfort to see that a part of him could go on and help another in the future. You could call it a full circle moment of light in a dark time. One of the most memorable moments was the ability to have some of his favorite music played while the donation surgery was taking place. We know he loved hearing good tunes during hard times…..this was just that! Love, The Klick Kids
