My family is the most important part of my life and would do anything for them.

My mother lived with diabetes since she was 9 years old. I knew at about age 10 that she would eventually need a kidney transplant. I spent many years researching and deciding if I would be willing to donate. When the time came for my mom to start dialysis I knew in my heart that if I was a match I would donate. It is the greatest gift I could have ever given my mom. I love her with all of my heart.
