One donor's story: Michael Armstrong
Mike honored hard work and integrity. He had passion in his beliefs and for people who were downtrodden but still had hope for a better tomorrow by working to make it better. He always had a cold drink and a joke or story to share.
Mike loved to share perspectives with teenagers. He was no nonsense when it came to being fair (in a “Golden Rule” kind of way) and practiced correction over consequences. In my opinion, it is hard for anyone to exercise that kind of investment in others.
Mike was always a giving person. When he died, his family agreed that he would want to give one last gift, the gift of sight to others.
