One donor's story: Jens Thomsen
Jens had a smile that could light up a whole room. He shared his joy for living with everyone he met, finding a way to lift your spirit and lighten your burden. He was adventurous and fun. Jens had a sensitive and giving soul and he did not like to disappoint. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends for magical summer days and nights at the family cabin on the lake in central Wisconsin.
Jens was a loving, present and fun-loving father to his pride and joy, Sienna. He loved and cherished his soul mate Sydney. His father was his hero and he was devoted to his mother. Jens loved his big sister and his two nephews, Orjan and Aiden. Jens lived by his motto “Family First”, bringing many friends into his family circle with his warm, caring, and generous nature.
Jens died from sudden cardiac arrest due to an unknown genetic heart condition at 27 years old. His family made the decision for organ donation in keeping with his giving spirit.
