I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.  I was all of these at the time I became a donor.  I was 59 years old at the time I gave my husband a kidney.  My husband and I have a metal sculpture business together.  We also will be married fifty years in September.

My family, religion, and friends are what I treasure most in my life.

When my husband needed a kidney I didn’t even think I could be a donor, but one day I thought why not me.  I was a registered donor if I died, I was healthy, have two good kidneys and what better person to give one to then the man I love?  That was almost twelve years ago.  We have been so blessed.
