Bayard had a wonderful sense of humor and wit. He was fair minded, and held strongly to his beliefs.

Bayard cared a great deal about the quality and integrity as a designer, particularly as a practicing Architect. His three cats were treated like royalty. He was close to his family, especially his nieces. He enjoyed driving in his Mini Cooper, and a day of sailing.
