I am a single mother of 2 daughters. I am a special education teacher in grades K-8.

Family is my top priority.

My only sibling, my brother, was diagnosed with a fatal kidney disease. He gradually got more and more ill. When he was told that the only cure for his disease was to have a transplant, I immediately knew what had to be done. I went and got tested and was a 6 point match. I considered myself very lucky to be able to donate a kidney to my brother so that he could continue his life.
