One donor's story: Nicholas Janzen
Nicky was a loving boy whose gregarious nature, kind heart and many talents, endeared him to people wherever he went.
In his short life he enjoyed many things including NHL hockey, Gopher Football and Blackhawks Youth Soccer. He was very passionate about music finding time for everything from the Beatles to circle time singing at Plymouth Congregational Church —especially “Deep and Wide.”
After successfully lobbying his parents he began studying violin at the age of four, and piano a year later. He even received special recognition from St. Joseph School of Music for practicing more than 150 consecutive days.
He loved bird watching, drawing and making up stories about super heroes. Nicky loved life.
Nicholas’ grandfather’s life was saved by organ donation when Nicholas was a baby. Remembering that, his family made the decision to donate Nicholas’ organs in order to help others.
