One donor's story: Chip Imker
Chip was a hard worker and had his own construction company. When ever you saw him he had a big smile on his face. He loved life and was always fun to be around. He was a wrestling coach for the kids and loved being with all of them. It was work but he made it fun. Chip had many friends and was very out-going.
Family was very important to him. He was a great son and is deeply missed. He was a great father to the two sons he and Kris had. Hayden and Connor. The boys went to work with him, on occasion, and four wheeling, and at 6 and 8 it took a lot to keep them busy. He loved hunting and even got his dad out of state once in awhile.
Chip was a volunteer firefighter for the Cambridge Fire Department. It was at a training exercise he fell from a rope and hit his head. He had listed “donor” on his license. It’s a hard thing but knowing he has helped so many makes us feel better and we know his heart beats on.
