One donor's story: John Gralish
I am 71 years old, very happily married with 3 children and 2 step children, and 6 grandchildren (including triplet boys). I am retired, enjoy traveling, bowling, and reading, volunteering at Cradle of Hope and St John’s hospital, and spending time with my family.
I consider myself blessed with family, friends, and my faith.
My sister, Sharon Kaiser, had kidney problems for a number of years, then was put on dialysis. Because of her poor health, a transplant was recommended. I was a perfect match and was more than happy to donate a kidney to her. She was a very special person. Sadly, Sharon went to see Jesus in Feb 2013, 6 years and 10 months after her transplant.
