One donor's story: Carol D. Campbell

Carol was a fun loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who couldn’t sing, loved to dance and couldn’t resist a great game. She faced life head on. She threw caution to the wind, dove right in, and she did so with a smile, a laugh, and a full heart. Carol always looked at the bright side of any situation and could see the sunshine in a rainstorm. Her smile brightened any room and her laugh was infectious. She was a go-getter and barely sat down because she was looking for the next project to complete to bring beauty into the world.

Carol’s family was her life. She had the biggest heart and was the glue that kept her family together. She lived for her children and grandchildren and could always be found playing a board game with one of them. If she wasn’t with her family she could be found in her garden. She loved bringing beauty into the world through flowers and plants.

Carol always looked out for others and she told us to give away anything that could help someone else upon her death. There was no question that she was a donor and she would have been honored to know that her eyes went to help someone else.
