One donor's story: Lee Estis
I am 33 years old, born and raised in St. Paul, MN. In my free time I enjoy music and family. I’m currently a student, with the goal of becoming a youth counselor. I consider myself to be a very determined person and a hard worker. I have two daughters, a 4 year old and a 1 month old. I take great pride and pleasure in being a father and husband.
Loyalty and family are two important things to me.
My main reason for becoming a donor, was because I sincerely wanted to help my brother. He has been diagnosed with lupus and has struggled with the illness for a number of years. It’s been difficult to see his struggles, and I’ve felt helpless. Donating a kidney to him was the one way I felt I could finally help.
